Terms of use

Terms for KresCAD. Version 2026-09-15.

1. KresCAD

These terms apply to KresCAD. Contact hello@krescad.com for support, complaints or questions about these terms.

2. Experimental software and appropriate use

KresCAD is still being developed. Features may contain errors or change, and interruptions or data loss are possible. It assists with drawing, measurement and communication; it does not certify a design or provide architectural, engineering, surveying, building-code or other professional advice.

Confirm the source drawing, units and page scale, and independently verify measurements, quantities and exported results before relying on them for costing, purchasing, fabrication, construction, safety or regulatory submissions. Obtain qualified professional advice where the task requires it. Retain original documents and independent saved project copies. Browser recovery is not guaranteed backup storage.

3. Accepting these terms

Before starting KresCAD, you are asked to expressly accept these terms. The version and date are stored in your browser and are not sent to us as a central acceptance record. Simply reading our website does not subscribe you to marketing or waive any rights. A privacy notice explains processing; it is not a blanket consent to optional tracking.

4. Your licence and our intellectual property

While you comply with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive permission to use the hosted application through your authorised access. You do not acquire ownership of KresCAD software, designs, documentation, branding or proprietary algorithms.

Except as permitted by applicable law or a separate written licence, do not copy or redistribute the application for others to use, rehost it as your own service, sell or sublicense access, bypass account or payment controls. Do not misuse another person's credentials or access other users' data. These restrictions do not limit rights under third-party open-source licences supplied with the application, or other rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.

5. Your drawings and feedback

You retain your rights in documents and content you use with KresCAD. You must have permission to use and share them. The current workspace processes drawings locally in your browser. If you voluntarily send material for support, you authorise us to use it only as needed to investigate and respond to that request, as described in our privacy notice.

Ownership of imported drawings, documents and other content remains with their existing rights holders. Using KresCAD, creating markups or exporting a file does not transfer ownership of that content to KresCAD. KresCAD’s rights in its software and branding are separate from rights in your drawings and content.

You may send feedback voluntarily. We may use suggestions to improve KresCAD without a payment obligation; this does not transfer ownership of your drawings or permit us to publish confidential material you supply.

6. Free access and future paid options

KresCAD is free with watermark-free outputs and requires no account or payment card. Optional paid features may be offered later. A future purchase will require a separate, clear choice showing the price, billing frequency, included features, renewal and cancellation terms. Using KresCAD does not authorise a charge or automatic conversion to a paid subscription.

Any statutory cancellation, refund or other remedy remains available. We will not describe a free plan as a trial that silently becomes paid.

7. Availability and fair account handling

We may maintain or update KresCAD and change experimental features. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where practicable. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address security threats, unlawful use or a material breach. Where practical, we will explain the reason, provide an opportunity to resolve it and allow you to export your work. Urgent security action may be immediate.

You can stop using the application at any time. Before clearing site data, save any local projects you wish to keep. For account or personal-data requests, contact us.

8. Liability and remedies

Subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, we do not promise uninterrupted, error-free operation or suitability for every task. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when access was provided. This clause does not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We do not require you to give up consumer guarantees, accept an automatic “no refunds” policy, indemnify us for our own wrongdoing or give up your right to bring a complaint or legal claim. Any remedy or further limitation proposed for a future paid plan will be stated in the purchase terms and must comply with applicable law.

9. Updates and disputes

Material changes to these terms will be explained before they take effect, with fresh acceptance requested where appropriate. Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a complaint; this does not prevent you contacting a regulator or seeking a legal remedy.

Victorian and Australian law apply, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights that apply where you live. If a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue only to the extent they can fairly and lawfully operate.
